Finance Minister Praises ADB’s Support for Pakistan’s Development

ISLAMABAD: In a meeting with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Senior Director Tariq H. Niazi, Minister for Finance Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb commended the bank’s ongoing financial and technical support to Pakistan. The session, held in Islamabad, focused on ADB’s initiatives designed to promote stronger macro-fiscal management and effective governance among its developing member countries.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ADB delegation outlined a substantial pipeline of projects aimed at economic reforms and socio-economic development in Pakistan. The finance minister expressed his appreciation for the ADB’s alignment with Pakistan’s development priorities, particularly in areas such as climate resilience and governance reforms.

The engagement underscored the mutual commitment between Pakistan and ADB to address key economic challenges and support the country’s development agenda through targeted financial assistance and reforms.
