Islamabad: The Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, virtually attended the inaugural Workshop on “Implementation Management” organized by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event, facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council, marks the first of three workshops aimed at strengthening Pakistan-Saudi economic collaboration and learning from Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 model.

According to Press Information Department, the workshop is part of the “Saudi-Pak Economic Collaboration Taskforce – Pakistan Transformation” initiative. It was attended by senior government officials, including Mr. Rana Ehsan, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator; Mr. Salman Ahmed, Ambassador at Large; Mr. Khurram Shehzad, Advisor to the Finance Minister; federal secretaries; and representatives from provincial governments. The Finance Minister emphasized learning from Saudi Arabia’s exemplary implementation strategies, focusing on “People, Process, and Technology.” He highlighted policy continuity as essential for sustainable progress, noting the importance of irreversibility in reforms, a concept central to Saudi Arabia’s success.

The Minister acknowledged potential challenges, recognizing that not all aspects of Saudi Arabia’s model are replicable in Pakistan. He stressed that setbacks are part of progress and that institutionalizing reforms is crucial for success. The workshop included a presentation by Mr. Yahya Bin Laden on Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, detailing strategic objectives and measurable outcomes through precise implementation.
