Fire Contained at Srinagar Hotel, No Casualties Reported

Srinagar: A fire erupted in the attic of Hotel Lucky Akbar near Abdullah Bridge in Srinagar, the capital of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Prompt response from local fire services prevented any casualties and contained damage to the structure.

According to Kashmir Media Service, officials reported that the fire was swiftly managed with no loss of life. “The control room received information at 1:40 that a fire incident had occurred here. We have three nearby stations; we pressed all three into service. When we reached here, we saw that there is a five-story structure named Hotel Lucky Akbar, the attic portion here was involved in the fire. Instantly, we launched a firefighting operation and our firefighters contained the fire. Fortunately, no life was lost in the incident,” said Assistant Director Fire Services Aqib Hussain Mir at the scene.

The hotel sustained partial damage due to the fire, but the timely efforts of the fire service crews averted a larger disaster.
