Fire in Karachi and Lahore: British envoy’s condolence statement

Islamabad, September 11, 2012 (PPI-OT): We and Pakistan’s many friends across the UK send our deepest condolences

Following the fires last night in Karachi and Lahore, Acting UK High Commissioner Alison Blake said:

“It is with great sadness that I learnt about the horrific factory fires in Karachi and Lahore.

“The thoughts of all of us working for the UK government here in Pakistan are with the friends and families of those killed or injured.

“We and Pakistan’s many friends across the UK send our deepest condolences.”
