Foreign Exchange reserves increase by $128 million

Karachi, May 12, 2016 (PPI-OT):State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Thursday said that the total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$20,834.2 million on 06 May 2016.

The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 16,032.7 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 4,801.5 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 20,834.2 million

During the week ending 06 May 2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves increased by US$128 million to US$16,033 million, compared to US$15,905 million in the previous week.
