Forest Fire Triggers Landmine Blasts Near Line of Control in Poonch

Jammu: Several landmine blasts were reported near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The explosions occurred after a fire ignited in two separate forest areas of the district.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the incidents took place in the Dhari Dabsi forest in the Mendhar sector and the Sona Gali area in the Mankote sector. Over six explosions were heard, suggesting that the fire had triggered the landmines.

Officials stated that there have been no casualties reported from the blasts. Efforts are ongoing to control the fire, although the cause of the blaze remains undetermined.
