Forest Official Killed in Road Accident Near Bandipora

Srinagar: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a forest official on the Bandipora-Srinagar road in Baramulla district, officials reported.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident occurred when an Alto car collided with the official’s motorcycle, inflicting critical injuries. Identified as Abdul Majeed Rather, son of Abdul Gafar Rather from Hajin, Bandipora, he was quickly taken to the district hospital in Bandipora. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to a hospital in Srinagar. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries en route.

The police have opened a case to investigate the circumstances of the accident and have initiated an inquiry under the relevant sections of the law.
