Four Dead, Two Missing in Kishtwar Road Accident

Jammu: Four people were killed and two others are missing following a traffic accident in the Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The incident highlights ongoing issues with road safety in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the accident took place when a local camper vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a deep gorge at Gwar Massu in the Padder area of Kishtwar. Officials have stated that a rescue operation is currently underway, with further details yet to be released.

Traffic accidents have become increasingly frequent in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, attributed primarily to poor road conditions, overloading, and inadequate traffic management. In recent months, several tragic accidents have resulted in numerous fatalities, particularly in hilly areas such as Kishtwar, Doda, and Ramban, where narrow and poorly maintained roads pose significant risks.
