Four Khawarij Killed in Swat Operation

Islamabad: Four Khawarij were killed and several others injured during a joint operation conducted by the police and the Counter Terrorism Department in the Matta area of Swat. According to Radio Pakistan, police have successfully secured control of a key strategic position in the Rashid Sar area of Matta.

During the operation, Elite Force Constable Gulfam embraced martyrdom while bravely confronting the militants. The operation revealed that four militants had taken shelter inside a house and were using members of the family as human shields. The operation is still in progress.

Sources described the use of civilians as human shields as a clear manifestation of the militants’ cowardice and desperation. They reiterated that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij will continue until the complete elimination of the terrorist network.
