General Raheel ensuring bright future for Pakistan: Mian Shahid

Islamabad, August 02, 2015 (PPI-OT):Chairman of the United International Group Mian Shahid on Sunday lauded the statement of COAS General Raheel Sharif on friendship with China and economic corridor saying that nothing will be allowed to sabotage it or stop it at any cost.

Gen. Raheel said this while attending the 88th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army which proved that he is a true leader who has improved the country’s image, confidence of masses and the business community, he added.

Talking to Samina Fazil, founder President, Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI), he said that the unshakable resolve of Gen. Raheel Sharif has been improving sentiments across the country. Mian Shahid said that the terror networks have been destroyed while the militants are on the run which is a great achievement.

Pakistan is bound to rise above the current level as army the determined leadership is defeating terrorism through series of decisive measures resulting in visible signs of improvement in security situation.

The Chinese-sponsored $46 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project represents a huge shot in the arm for Pakistan’s economy. It will give Beijing land access to port of Gwadar. The corridor will connect Gwadar to western China, providing Beijing with an alternate supply route bypassing the potential choke points in the Indian Ocean, he said.

Mian Shahid said that life is returning to normalcy in Karachi where economic activities are gaining momentum for which Government as well as law enforcing agencies definitely deserves credit for their resolve. Rangers deserve not only appreciation but support of all stakeholders including political parties in their mission to cleanse the city of criminals. Success of the Rangers would also have salutary effect on the life of ordinary man in Karachi besides restoring its original magnificence.
