Srinagar, May 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has castigated the puppet administration for placing him under continued house arrest. Syed Ali Gilani in a media interview in Srinagar said that the puppet regime had received directions from the Home Ministry of India to make his movement confined to four walls. He termed as lame excuse the statement of the puppet Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, wherein he had said that Gilani’s liberty was a threat to the law and order in the territory.
The veteran leader described the AFSPA revocation slogan by Omar Abdullah as a mere eyewash. “He (Omar) is making noise about revocation of AFSPA which is within the jurisdiction of New Delhi. If he is sincere in his efforts to revoke draconian laws let him revoke Public Safety Act (PSA) first which is within his jurisdiction,” he added.
Syed Ali Gilani rejected the holding of dialogue with New Delhi before it accepted the proposals put forth by his forum. “We have made it very clear that we are ready to hold dialogue with Delhi after it accepts our four points including accepting Kashmir as dispute, withdrawal of troops, repeal of draconian laws and release of detainees,” he stated.
He also reiterated the demand that Amaranth yatra should be managed by local Pandits rather than the Amarnath Shrine Board.
