Gilani, Mirwaiz grieved over loss of lives in Nepal

Srinagar, April 26, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, top Hurriyet leaders, Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq offering condolences to the people of Nepal as well as India who have suffered losses in the earthquake, have said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir express solidarity with the affected people.

In their separate statements in Srinagar, Syed Ali Gilani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said people of Jammu and Kashmir have witnessed a similar kind of turbulence in 2005 earthquake and the ravaging floods of September last year.

They said they share the grief and sorrow of the affected people at this hour of great loss. A massive earthquake hit Nepal, killing more than 1900 people and damaging hundreds of buildings including some world-known historical heritage sites.
