Lahore: Chairman of the Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, has underscored the importance of political stability for Pakistan’s economic growth. Speaking at a ceremony at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gillani advocated for improvements in the country’s economic policies and strategies to bolster progress.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Gillani highlighted the potential of special economic zones in strengthening the economy. He also emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in advancing modern technologies and creating employment opportunities. The Chairman noted the importance of public-private partnerships in facilitating economic development.
Addressing the energy sector, Gillani pointed out Pakistan’s capability to meet national demands through a mix of energy sources, including solar, wind, hydro, coal, and gas.
