Governor of KP Engages with FBR Chairman on Tax Reforms and Taxpayer Concerns

Islamabad: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Faisal Karim Kundi, visited the headquarters of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) today to discuss various tax-related issues affecting the people of the province with FBR Chairman, Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the meeting focused on enhancing the taxpayer experience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by addressing ongoing concerns and improving the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of tax administration. The Chairman briefed the Governor on the latest steps being taken towards these goals, including the digitization and automation of FBR’s systems.

The FBR Chairman assured the Governor of all possible measures to resolve the tax-related issues promptly and reiterated the Board’s commitment to fostering a taxpayer-friendly environment. This includes ongoing tax reforms aimed at simplifying procedures and enhancing overall service delivery.

Governor Kundi expressed his appreciation for the FBR’s efforts to modernize and reform the tax system, acknowledging the positive impact these changes are likely to have on both taxpayers and the broader economic environment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
