Govt Committed to Ensuring Healthcare Facilities to Masses: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s determination to ensure health care facilities for every citizen. In a message on World Health Day, he emphasized this year’s theme, “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures,” which highlights the importance of newborn health.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister acknowledged Pakistan’s progress in improving maternal and child health but noted that significant work remains. He stressed the need for developing a robust health system to address medical and social challenges impacting maternity and neonatal health.

The Prime Minister emphasized the current government’s commitment to leveraging modern technology in health care and establishing strong partnerships to enhance public health facilities. He called for a coordinated and multi-sectoral approach to health, emphasizing practical steps in healthcare, education, nutrition, environment, and management while observing World Health Day 2025.
