Govt Focusing on Youth’s Economic and Social Wellbeing: Shaza

Islamabad: Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, has declared that the government is dedicating significant attention to the economic and social wellbeing of the youth. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, Shaza highlighted that the youth account for sixty-eight percent of the country’s population, describing them as a crucial asset.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister announced the introduction of several training programs aimed at enhancing the skills of the youth. These initiatives, part of the Digi-Skills programme, are designed to transform young people into market leaders and innovators.

Minister Khawaja further emphasized the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, which focuses on securing productive employment for the youth following their training. She clarified that the government’s objective goes beyond merely imparting training, aiming for tangible employment outcomes.

The Minister noted the importance of Artificial Intelligence in boosting global industrial competitiveness and enhancing the employability of young individuals. Consequently, AI training has become a compulsory element in every course offered under the Digi-Skills programme.
