Govt makes visa mandatory for drivers of commercial vehicles at Torkham border

Visa for entry into Pakistan has also been made mandatory for drivers of commercial vehicles at Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border.

Officials of the two countries recently held a meeting at the Torkham border on travel documents for legal transit. They agreed that passports and visas should be required for transit from both countries.

These measures are aimed at stabilizing trade legally, improving security and preventing smuggling. Traders and truck drivers have also welcomed the move.
