Govt Plans to Empower Citizens at Grassroots Level: Tanveer

Muridke: Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized that the PML-N led government is committed to empowering citizens at the grassroots level. During a conversation with media personnel in Muridke, he highlighted the government’s past efforts, noting that under PML-N’s leadership, local government elections were conducted and powers were transferred to elected representatives of local bodies.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Tanveer hailed the recent verdict against Faiz Hameed as a landmark decision, asserting that other individuals who have misused their authority would also face justice. He criticized the agenda of the PTI founder, claiming it aimed to undermine the country and its institutions.

Furthermore, Rana Tanveer expressed optimism about the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s prospects in the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan general elections. He also conveyed Nawaz Sharif’s desire to incorporate Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan into the National Finance Commission Award.
