Govt Reaffirms Commitment to Freedom of Expression: Info Minister

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has reiterated the government’s commitment to freedom of expression and the press. In a congratulatory message, he extended his best wishes to the newly elected office-bearers of the Sindh Parliamentary Reporters Association.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Tarar emphasized that free, responsible, and fact-based journalism is essential for the progress and stability of society. He acknowledged the significant role the journalist community plays in upholding and promoting democratic values and promised continued cooperation with journalists’ institutions to foster responsible journalism.

Attaullah Tarar also expressed his confidence in the newly elected leadership of the Sindh Parliamentary Reporters Association, stating that they will fulfill their professional responsibilities with integrity and impartiality.
