Pakistan Committed to Cement Cooperation Among SCO States

Islamabad: The High Commissioner of Canada to Pakistan, Tariq Ali Khan, called on Minister for Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, in Islamabad today. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed particularly focusing on legal reforms, rule of law, human rights, and investment opportunities. The Minister expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relations between the two countries. Azam Tarar said the Government is committed to extend all possible facilitation to foreign investors. The Canadian High Commissioner said several Canadian companies are interested to invest in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, meanwhile, addressing a meeting of Justice Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Member States in Islamabad today, Law and Justice Minister highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to modernize its legal and justice system in line with emerging global trends. He emphasized that innovation and digital transformation in justice delivery are essential to meet the growing expectations of citizens in the digital age. Azam Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening cooperation among SCO Member States in the field of justice and legal reforms.
