Islamabad: The Federal Government has released the Ministry and Division-wise summary of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26 with a federal development allocation of over 837 billion rupees. This substantial budget is intended to accelerate infrastructure growth, enhance public services, and fortify the national economy.
According to Radio Pakistan, official figures indicate that the total authorized amount is 833.34 billion rupees. Development expenditures recorded between July and April have already reached approximately 469.85 billion rupees, illustrating significant progress in the implementation of the PSDP.
The PSDP 2025-26 focuses heavily on several key sectors, including water resources, highways, education, energy infrastructure, and regional development initiatives. These areas have been prioritized to ensure comprehensive national development.
Data shows that the Water Resources Division has emerged as a leading sector within the federal development portfolio, receiving an allocation of 106.64 billion rupees. Expenditures in this division during the July-April period amounted to 66.91 billion rupees, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing water resource management.
