Govt taking every possible measure for controlling smog issue: CM Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar has said that PTI Government is taking every possible measure for controlling smog issue in the province.

He was chairing a high level meeting in Lahore today during which progress to control smog reviewed.

He said that all special air monitoring stations throughout the province will provide data regarding smog. He said that such stations will soon be functional at Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Multan while the special Mobile Lab will be functional from Thursday.

The meeting decided to setup a Committee, headed by Federal Advistor Ameen Aslam, to review the issues related to brick kilns. The Committee will present its recommendations and proposals to converting all kilns on modern technology.

He directed to take measures to stabilize the prices of bricks in the open market.
