Govt to Ensure Sugar Availability to Consumers: Tanveer

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has declared the government’s commitment to ensuring the availability of sugar to consumers at reasonable prices. To achieve this objective, engaging all stakeholders is deemed essential.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister Tanveer made these remarks during a discussion with representatives of the Pakistan Sugar Dealers Association in Islamabad. He emphasized the need for the sugar industry to maintain transparency in production, supply, and pricing processes.

The Minister firmly stated that any unjustified increase in sugar prices will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He stressed that cooperation between the government and the sugar industry is crucial to stabilizing the market, which in turn will safeguard the interests of both farmers and consumers.
