PM Directs for Early Finalization of National Industrial Policy

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the swift finalization of a national industrial policy, urging consultation with all stakeholders to resolve the challenges confronting industries and to catalyze industrial growth.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday, the Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of domestic industrial development as a cornerstone for export-led economic growth. He highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing industries with manpower and technology that meet international standards.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pointed out that recent economic policies are crafted to invigorate domestic industries. He specifically mentioned the tariff rationalization policy, which is expected to encourage investment within the country.

In the course of the meeting, various recommendations were proposed for the advancement of domestic industries. It was conveyed that an effective industrial policy would be pivotal in reviving the nation’s manufacturing sector.
