Gwadar: Under the directives of Commissioner Makran Daud Khan Khalji, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sarbland Khan recently inspected the ongoing revitalization efforts at the Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi Digital Library. This library, a crucial educational resource in Gwadar, had been inactive for some time but is now undergoing rapid restoration to reengage the community with educational activities.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman is spearheading efforts to rejuvenate the educational landscape of the district, which includes reactivating dormant libraries and schools. The Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi Digital Library’s restoration is part of a broader initiative to rekindle a passion for reading and support educational pursuits across Gwadar.
During his visit, Additional Deputy Commissioner Khan examined the repair works and the installation of digital facilities designed to meet modern educational demands. The library will feature separate sections tailored to men, women, children, and digital reading to ensure it caters effectively to the diverse academic needs of the community. Khan emphasized that these enhancements aim to provide quality study opportunities for all age groups and social classes within Gwadar.
