Habib Insurance Company announces 12.5% cash dividend for the year ended December 31, 2022

Karachi, Habib Insurance Company Limited has announced a cash dividend of Rs. 0.625 per share of Rs.5/- each for the year ended December 31, 2022. The announcement was made by the Board of Directors of the company in their meeting held on May 05, 2023, at Karachi.

The financial results of the company for the year ended December 31, 2022, showed a profit after tax of Rs. 111,091 million, which is an increase of 3.6% compared to the previous year. The earnings per share for the year were Rs. 0.90. The company has recommended the appropriation of Rs. 77,422 million for the cash dividend and Rs. 50,000 million for the transfer to reserves, leaving Rs. 2,696 million unappropriated profit carried forward.

The Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from May 16, 2023, to May 29, 2023, both days inclusive. The cash dividend will be paid to the shareholders whose names appear in the Register of Members on Monday, May 15, 2023.

The Annual General Meeting of the company is scheduled to be held on May 29, 2023, at Karachi.
