Haq Parast members of Sindh Assembly direct officers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board to ensure that public is provided swift water and sewerage facilities during Eid-ul-Azha

Karachi, October 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): Haq Parast Members of Sindh Assembly Syed Khalid Ahmed and Nishat Zia Qadri have directed the officers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board to ensure that the public is provided with swift water and sewerage facilities during Eid-ul-Adha. They were speaking to the press during their inspection of cleaning and cleansing drive before Eid.

Haqparast Members of Sindh Assembly visited Landhi, Korangi, Malir and Shah Faisal Town and inspected the progress of cleaning and cleansing drive initiated before Eid, around Mosques, Imambargahs and Eidgahs.

They directed the officers of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board present on the occasion to deploy emergency personnel in all towns and stay in contact with the complaints centres established through out the city so that immediate resolution of complaints is ensured.

They said that Officers must inspect the situation in their respective areas after Eid-ul-Adha prayers and ensure that they have first hand knowledge of sewerage situation so that the people coming out of their houses for prayers do not face any trouble.

They directed that manhole should be placed where they are missing and lime powder is sprinkled around the streets. They directed that the water and sewerage system must work at its full capacity during Eid and the facilities must be provided throughout the city without any discrimination. They appealed from the public not to dump their sacrificial animals’ in the gutters and cooperate with the employees of Karachi Water and Sewerage Board.
