HBL Announces Interim Dividend and Confirms Financial Results for Third Quarter

Karachi: Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has announced an interim cash dividend of Rs. 4.00 per share for the third quarter ended September 30, 2024, following a board meeting held on October 16, 2024, at the HBL Corporate Office in Clifton, Karachi. This dividend represents a 40% increase over the interim dividend previously distributed, culminating in a total payout of Rs. 8.00 per share for the quarter, reflecting an 80% yield on the original share value.

The meeting not only discussed the dividend but also addressed the financial results of the bank for the quarter, which will be disseminated through the PSX web portal PUCARS. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the board also declared a book closure from October 28, 2024, to October 30, 2024, during which no transfers of shares will be processed to facilitate the dividend payment. Transfers received before the close of business on October 25 will be treated as timely for the purpose of dividend entitlement.

This financial maneuver comes at a strategic time as HBL continues to strengthen its market position amidst fluctuating economic conditions. The decision reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to delivering value to its shareholders while maintaining robust financial health.
