Heavy Rain in Haripur Results in Injuries and Property Damage

Haripur: Heavy rainfall in Haripur has led to injuries and significant property damage. The incidents, occurring on August 31, 2024, have prompted local authorities to assess the extent of the impact on the community.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, the rains in Haripur resulted in injuries to a minor, Nasir Ali, who is seven years old. Nasir, son of Riasat Ali and resident of Banda Munir, sustained minor injuries due to the inclement weather conditions. Additionally, several homes in the area have reported damages. Riasat Ali’s residence in Banda Munir suffered damage to one room. Similarly, Bakhash, son of Ali Akbar from the same locality, reported damages to one room of his house. Moreover, Javed Iqbal, son of Hayat Khan from Kholian Bala, faced extensive damage including one room, a kitchen, and a boundary wall.

Local authorities and PDMA continue to monitor the situation and are assessing the needs for recovery and support in the affected areas.
