Hindu Extremist Group Targets Muslim Shopkeepers in Bhopal

Bhopal: The Hindu extremist group, Sanskriti Bachao Manch, has initiated a hate campaign against Muslim shopkeepers in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, urging Hindus to exclusively patronize shops that celebrate Diwali.

According to Kashmir Media Service, activists from the Sanskriti Bachao Manch have been spotted in New Market, Bhopal, distributing placards bearing Hindu religious symbols such as ‘Om,’ ‘Swastik,’ and ‘Shri.’ These symbols are used to identify shops owned by adherents of ‘Sanatan Dharm,’ a term commonly associated with traditional Hindu beliefs. The campaign’s divisive rhetoric warns Hindus against spending money that could end up in “wrong hands.”

The group’s president, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, has been vocal in promoting this campaign, making statements that label Muslim shopkeepers as ‘Jihadis’ and openly discouraging commerce with them. This development has stirred considerable unrest and concern in Bhopal, with videos of the campaign and its hate-filled messages spreading across social media platforms.
