New Delhi, July 04, 2023 (PPI-OT): In another incident of ongoing violence against the Muslims in India, a Hindutva mob assaulted two Muslim young men in Odhisa state. In a video two Muslim youth are seen being tied together with a rope and sitting on the road and being kicked in the back and face by the members of Hindutva organizations. The Hindutva mob also cut off their beards. The media reports said that in the incident that took place in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the state, the victims Irshad Ahmed and Muhammad Abuzar were beaten up. They were forcibly made to chant the Hindu religious slogan “Jai Shri Ram” and were further humiliated by being compelled to walk through piles of garbage.
Irshad Ahmed said that they were attacked by a crowd of around 500 people. He said that the mob had stopped their truck and beat them up on suspicion of transporting cattle. Muhammad Abuzar said that during the assault, the attackers repeatedly shouted, ‘This is India, not Pakistan, you are coming here from Pakistan and slaughtering our sacred animal’.
