Hindutva zealot T Raja booked for hate speech in Rajasthan

New Delhi, May 26, 2023 (PPI-OT): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA from Telangana, T. Raja Singh, has once again spewed venom against Muslims incited his supporters to fight with Muslims the way Maharana Pratap Singh fought with Mughal Emperor Akbar. The firebrand Hindutva protagonist Singh, who faces multiple cases for making hate speeches, referred to Muslims as “najayez aulad (illegitimate progeny) of Akbar” and talked about slaughtering them. Singh delivered the provocative speech at Kunhadi Circle in Kota while addressing an event on the occasion of Maharana Pratap’s birth anniversary, media reports said.

T Raja Singh has been booked in Rajasthan for making an inflammatory speech against Muslims. The Kunhadi police station in Kota, Rajhasthan registered a case against him under Section 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc.) and Section 298 (uttering words with deliberate intent to wound the religious feelings of any person) of the Indian Penal Code. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shankarlal Meena has informed that the case has been handed over to the CID’s crime branch for further investigations, reports said.

Addressing a huge gathering, Singh said that “At that time, there was only one Akbar. Today, you will find the illegitimate progeny of Akbar at every nook and corner. We don’t want to fight anyone. But if they look at our women and cow mother, we will teach them in the language which they understand”. He also referred to Muslims as “puncture wala” (puncture mechanic) saying that their population was increasing. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring in a law against population growth to control “their numbers from multiplying”.

“Hindu women are under threat not just from Abdul but also people who wear black clothes,” he said. “Whether it is Abdul and Aaftab, they all learn about Jihad from a single book,” he added. He incited his supporters to fight with Muslims the way Maharana Pratap Singh fought with Akbar. Singh also urged his supporters to teach a lesson to the internal enemies of the country. Last month, a case was filed against Singh for his controversial remarks during a Ram Navami rally in Hyderabad. Afzalgunj Police had booked the suspended BJP MLA under Sections 153-A and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

Earlier, Singh made inflammatory speeches against Muslims at different places in Maharashtra where several cases were filed against him. The matter went to the Supreme Court which ordered that the police should take suo moto action on hate speeches. Last week, VHP leader Sadhvi Prachi has been booked by Jaipur police for making hate speeches in the city during the screening of the controversial movie ‘The Kerala Story’.
