Hurriyat Conference Blames India’s Inflexibility for Unresolved Kashmir Issue

Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has attributed the persistent deadlock over the Kashmir dispute to India’s intransigence, following a statement by Pakistan’s Foreign Office Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, denouncing India’s actions in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Parvaiz Ahmad Shah clarified that Pakistan is not engaged in any bilateral talks or trade negotiations with India regarding Kashmir, countering rumors of such discussions. He emphasized that despite India’s rigid stance, Pakistan continues to seek a fair and lasting resolution to the Kashmir conflict, which has been ongoing for over seven decades.

Advocate Shah highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to promote the Kashmir issue globally, including at the United Nations, providing moral, political, and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people. He expressed gratitude towards Pakistan for its unwavering support and called on international human rights organizations and the UN Secretary-General to intervene and help resolve the dispute, warning that without a resolution based on UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people, peace in South Asia remains elusive.
