Ibrahim visits flood hit areas, advises people to shift to safer places

Caretaker Punjab Minister for Transport and Livestock Ibrahim Hassan Murad visited flood-hit areas of district Vehari, and advised people living in low-lying area to cooperate with government and shift to safer places.

He assured strong support of government to the people and pledged to protect their lives and property.

The Minister was informed on the occasion that three tent villages and 20 relief camps had been set up in the area and over twenty-nine thousand people had been shifted to safer places.

It was further informed that 77 villages were hit by floods and rescue operation was in progress at thirteen points. The majority of people have already been shifted to relief camps.
