IDEAS 2024 to Enhance Pakistan’s Strategic and Commercial Ties

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah announced that the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024 aims to strengthen Pakistan’s strategic relationships and boost commercial interactions with international partners. The biennial event is scheduled to be held from November 19 to 22 at the Karachi Expo Centre.

According to Chief Minister Sindh, the 3rd Steering Committee meeting for IDEAS 2024 brought together provincial ministers, Major General Asad Nawaz Khan, DG DEPO, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, and representatives from federal ministries, the Sindh government, the Armed Forces of Pakistan, and law enforcement agencies. The meeting focused on finalizing comprehensive plans for the 12th edition of the exhibition.

Since its inception in 2000, IDEAS has grown into a significant gathering for the national and international defense industry. The event provides a platform for showcasing state-of-the-art technology and facilitating knowledge exchange. It is recognized globally as a key avenue for advancing peace, stability, and prosperity by discussing contemporary defense and security challenges.

The Chief Minister underscored the importance of meticulous planning and execution, emphasizing that the event’s success relies on the collective determination and cooperation of all involved parties. He reaffirmed his government’s full support and cooperation in all necessary areas to bring IDEAS 2024 to fruition.

The second session of the meeting, chaired by Major General Asad Nawaz Khan, focused on finalizing administrative, security, and support plans. The event will feature demonstrations of cutting-edge defense technology, international seminars, cultural shows, and business engagement opportunities. A special Karachi Show for residents will be held at Sea View on November 21, 2024.

The CEO of Badar Solutions, Zohair Naseer, assured that with the support of the armed forces, federal and provincial governments, and law enforcement agencies, IDEAS 2024 will be conducted successfully.
