IG Punjab Allocates Over 1.6 Million Rupees for Police Health Welfare

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken significant steps to bolster the health welfare of police employees and their families across the region by allocating over 1.6 million rupees for medical expenses.

According to Punjab Police, the funding will cover various treatments for police personnel in different districts, emphasizing support for those facing serious health challenges. Notable allocations include 550,000 rupees for Inspector Muhammad Akbar from Bahawalnagar for diabetes treatment and a prosthetic leg, and 250,000 rupees each for Junior Clerk Shazia Rafiq from Lahore for general medical expenses, and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Sarfraz from Multan for eye surgery. Additional funds were allocated to other personnel for kidney treatments, paralysis care, and major surgeries.

IG Punjab Dr. Anwar emphasized the commitment of his office to ensure no police employee or their family member would face health challenges alone. He has instructed Regional Police Officers (RPOs) and District Police Officers (DPOs) to continue prioritizing health welfare measures vigorously.
