IG Punjab Directs Resolution of Pending Pension Cases for Police Employees

Lahore: Following a directive from Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a meeting of the Police Pension Committee was convened at the Central Police Office. The meeting, presided over by AIG Finance SSP Dr. Nida Omar Chatha, focused on reviewing and resolving pending pension cases of police employees.

According to Punjab Police, assistant directors from all units of Punjab Police participated in the meeting. A total of 336 pension cases were completed, with instructions issued to forward them to the Accountant General’s office for further processing. Dr. Usman Anwar stressed the importance of addressing objections in pending cases promptly and recommended that preparation of pension cases begin at least three months before retirement. AIG Finance SSP Chatha reported that 80% of pending pension cases had already been completed.
