Punjab and UAE Explore Economic Cooperation and Investment Opportunities

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with UAE Ambassador to Pakistan H.E. Hammad Obaid Ibrahim Al-Zaabi to discuss prospects for economic cooperation, development projects, and tourism promotion in the region. They agreed to establish a working group aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, while Sharif extended an invitation to UAE investors to explore opportunities in Punjab, offering special incentives and a conducive environment for investment.

According to Chief Minister of Punjab, Sharif expressed appreciation for the UAE’s support in Pakistan’s socio-economic sectors, including infrastructure, health, education, and energy. She emphasized the mutual trust and respect underpinning Pakistan-UAE relations and noted the shared vision for regional stability and prosperity.

Ambassador Al-Zaabi congratulated Sharif on her recent visit to China and commended her efforts in development projects and climate change initiatives. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to Pakistan’s development and expressed interest in pursuing additional projects through public-private partnerships in Punjab.
