IG Punjab Ensures Housing for Family of Fallen Police Constable

Multan: In a significant act of support for the families of police martyrs, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has facilitated the provision of a new home to the family of Constable Touseef Ahmad Shaheed, who was killed in the line of duty in August 2023. This initiative underscores a continuing commitment to the welfare of police martyrs’ families.

According to Punjab Police, the family of Constable Touseef Ahmad, who lost his life during a confrontation with criminals in Rajanpur, has been provided with a 5-marla fully furnished house in Executive Villas, Multan. The residence, valued at 13.5 million rupees, was acquired in alignment with the preferences expressed by the family.

During a ceremony marking the handover of the house, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the brave actions of Constable Touseef Ahmad, who faced dangerous dacoits at police station Haji Pur. Dr. Anwar emphasized that the Punjab Police will forever remember the sacrifices made by its personnel like Constable Touseef Ahmad.

Dr. Anwar also noted the broader efforts of the Punjab Police to look after the families of over 1,600 martyrs and 1,700 heroes. The provision of housing and other forms of support are part of the Punjab Police’s commitment to ensuring that the families of fallen officers are cared for.

The initiative was made possible through special funds released by the Punjab Government, aimed at securing housing for families of police martyrs. This gesture of support from IG Punjab and the Punjab Police serves as a testament to the ongoing respect and remembrance of those who have given their lives in the line of duty.
