Increasing complaints against K-Electric are being addressed: Muhammad Yameen

Karachi, May 05, 2016 (PPI-OT):Increasing complaints against K-Electric are being addressed and to provide free and quick justice to the citizens is our cause, these thoughts were expressed by Advisor Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Muhammad Yameen. He was hearing applications given to Federal Ombudsman against K-Electric’s overbilling from citizens in the camps office of Deputy Commissioner Malir.

PRO Federal Ombudsman’s Regional Office Behleem Builqees Jan and representative of K-Electric Waqas Ahmed were also present on this occasion. Advisor Federal Ombudsman Muhammad Yameen has said that it is continue to provide quick justice to citizens by implementation of Federal Ombudsman decision. Applicant Shahid Barni said that he received a bill from K-Electric which is out of my affordability. Therefore provide me justice by eradicating overbilling.

After perusing the report presented by K-Electric, Muhammad Yameen ordered to pay the bill in installments. Applicant Imdad Ali Marfani said that we use less electricity but charges in the bill are very high which I cannot afford to pay. After perusing the bill, Muhammad Yameen not only eradicated overbilling but also ordered to pay the bill in installments.

Hearing the applications of Jafar Baig and Muhammad Ramzan, Muhammad Yameen said that since he is still not received K-Electric’s report, therefore they were given next week’s date. Applications of Muhammad Iqbal, Imran Khan and others were also heard and their complaints were addressed.
