India has broken all records of oppression in IOK: Yasin Malik

Srinagar, August 30, 2015 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that India and its stooges have broken all the records of oppression and human rights violations in the territory. Muhammad Yasin Malik, who participated in a protest sit-in organized by APDP at Pratap Park, said that brutal killings of Kashmiris, destruction of proprieties, attacks on the chastity of women, thousands of unmarked graves, arrest and torture of thousands, a blanket ban on peaceful political activities and above all the custodial disappearances of more than ten thousand people were all glaring example of human rights violations in Kashmir.

He said that today when the world is observing International Disappearances Day, the relatives of more than ten thousand disappeared persons were waiting for their return. Yasin Malik said because of the forced disappearances thousands of our sisters are named as half widows and the children of the disappeared do not know whether they are orphans or otherwise.

The parents of these disappeared ones are in constant search for them and this psychological trauma has ruined these families, he added. The JKLF Chairman said that the international community has failed to fulfil its obligations regarding Kashmiris. “Our human rights are being violated on a routine basis but no one seems to care. More than ten thousand Kashmiris remain disappeared but international community seems to remain unconcerned, he maintained.

Yasin Malik said that even today thousands of innocent Kashmiris languish in jails, police stations and interrogation centres are filled with thousands of political prisoners and young boys. He said that today a blanket ban has been imposed on all peaceful political activities. Youth are being arrested, humiliated and hence pushed to the wall, he added.ss
