India plundering natural resources of Kashmir: Gilani

Srinagar, April 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India that is occupying Jammu and Kashmir by the dint of force is plundering the natural resources of the territory.

Syed Ali Gilani, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, talking to a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir from Islamabad town said that New Delhi had resorted to dirty means to hold its illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir.

The veteran leader said that so-called elections had never been alternative to the right to self-determination, and India was all set to stage another election drama in the territory to sabotage the liberation movement.

He said that Urdu, a conspiracy was being hatched to replace Urdu, which was the official language of the territory, by English and Hindi to distance the Kashmiris from their religious heritage including tafaseer and Urdu literature.

Meanwhile, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir in a statement expressed concern over deteriorating health of the detained party detained leader, Bashir Ahmad Qureshi. He was arrested on January 29 and was subjected to severe torture in different jails of the occupied territory. The party demanded his immediate release.
