India Seizes Civilian Property in Pulwama District

Srinagar: Indian authorities have seized a civilian property in the Pulwama district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the property, consisting of 4 marlas and registered in the name of Mubashir Ahmad from Syedabad Pastuna Tral, was seized by Indian police under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Mubashir Ahmad has been labeled as a supporter of the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination movement.

Since the revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019, the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has confiscated numerous properties owned by Kashmiris. This campaign is viewed as an effort to economically impact Kashmiris and change the region’s demographic makeup by encouraging non-Kashmiri settlement.
