Srinagar, June 25, 2023 (PPI-OT):An Indian army officer shot himself dead with his service weapon in occupied Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, today. The officer shot himself around 4.50 pm inside the army’s Baramulla camp. He died on the spot. Further details are awaited.
It is worth mentioning here that Indian troops are committing suicide mostly in IIOJK on a routine basis. Hundreds of Indian forces’ personnel have taken their life in the course of their duty in the territory. Mental health experts link the phenomenon with increasing human rights violations against innocent Kashmiris by the troops.
