Indian Regime Escalates Property Demolitions in Kashmir Under Anti-Drug Pretext

Srinagar: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP-led Indian regime has intensified attachment and demolition drives of properties under the cover of so-called anti-drug operations, raising concerns among locals about targeted actions against Kashmiris.

According to Radio Pakistan, the actions have led to the attachment and demolition of numerous houses, shops, and other structures in key areas such as Srinagar, Islamabad, and Jammu.

Locals argue that these measures are being utilized as a pretext to target the Kashmiri population, aiming to weaken their economic foundation amid their ongoing struggle for self-determination. Residents have described the allegations as part of a broader strategy to undermine the Kashmiri freedom movement and divert global criticism.

In addition to property demolitions, police have arrested half a dozen individuals across different areas as part of the ongoing crackdown operations. Locals claim these operations, conducted under black laws, are intended to confiscate land and alter the demographic composition of the region.
