Indian Security Forces Initiate Search Operation in Kashmir’s Kokernag Area

Srinagar: A joint cordon and search operation (CASO) has been initiated by Indian troops, police, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Kokernag area of the Islamabad district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation, involving personnel from the 19 RR of the Indian Army along with local police and CRPF units, is part of a continued security presence in the region. Details remain limited, but the operation was ongoing at the time of the latest reports.

Such operations are frequent in the region, which remains a focal point of tension between local insurgents and Indian security forces. The local population often experiences disruption during these intensive military actions, which are stated to be aimed at maintaining law and order.
