Indian Sikh Yatrees Arrive in Pakistan for Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s Death Anniversary

Lahore: A second batch of over three hundred and thirty Indian Sikh Yatrees arrived in Pakistan today to participate in the ceremonies of Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s death anniversary. The pilgrims crossed into Pakistan via the Wagah Border, marking a significant event in the religious calendar.

According to Radio Pakistan, the main ceremonies are scheduled to be held at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore on the 29th of this month. The annual event commemorates the life and legacy of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, a revered figure in Sikh history.

Provincial Minister and Pradhan Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, along with other officials, extended a warm welcome to the Yatrees. The officials emphasized the importance of such events in fostering cross-border religious and cultural ties.
