Srinagar, July 16, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one more youth in Kupwara district, today. The youth was killed during a violent operation by Indian Army in Safawali Gali area of the district. Two Indian troops were injured in an attack during a cordon and search operation in the same area.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar strongly condemned the summoning of an accredited journalist, Aaqib Javed by the Indian National Investigation Agency to New Delhi terming it a ploy to frighten the journalist fraternity. The APHC appealed to the United Nations Human Rights Commission to take cognizance of the plight of Kashmiri resistance leaders, lodged in Delhi’s Tihar jail.
The troops arrested three youth Shakir Paddar, Saheel Ahmad Wani and Suhail Ahmad from Heff and Maldair areas of Shopian district. The detained youth are brothers of martyrs Saddam Paddar, Nasir Ahmad Wani and Irfanul Haq. Police arrested over a dozen teachers of private schools in Baramulla town on the allegation of having sympathies with the ongoing freedom movement. Police also arrested liberation leader Mushtaqul Islam during a raid on his house in Battamaloo, Srinagar.
A delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir visited Krad Shangus area of South Kashmir and expressed solidarity with the family of martyred youth Nisar Ahmad Butt. In New Delhi, an Indian court has sent Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates to one-month judicial custody on the charge of waging war against India. Aasiya Andrabi and her associates Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen were produced before a Delhi court, today. They were sent to Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail. The National Investigation Agency on the directions of Indian Home Ministry had registered a case against Aasiya Andrabi and her aides in April, this year.
