India’s Hegemonic Tactics Criticized by APHC in Kashmir

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has asserted that India is employing hegemonic tactics to silence and suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate struggle for self-determination.

According to Radio Pakistan, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in Srinagar that India has transformed IIOJK into a military garrison. He highlighted that Indian forces, along with various agencies, are committing severe atrocities and human rights violations in the region.

The APHC has condemned the harassment and checks in Botengoo, Sopore, aimed at preventing mourners from expressing solidarity with the family of the late Prof Abdul Ghani Butt. Additionally, the APHC expressed serious concern regarding the house detention of senior leaders like Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Maulana Masroor Abbas Ansari, among others.

The statement emphasized that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir have made unparalleled sacrifices in their quest for freedom from Indian control for more than seven decades and are determined to continue their struggle until they achieve complete success.

The APHC has appealed to international human rights organizations to assist in the release of political leaders and activists, urging them to play a significant role in addressing the ongoing issues in the region.
