Kashgar: President Asif Ali Zardari attended a dinner hosted in his honor this evening by Vice Governor of Xinjiang and Communist Party Secretary of Kashgar, Nie Zhuang. Addressing the event, the President expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and said he is deeply impressed by the remarkable progress witnessed across Chinese cities.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari lauded Chinese President Xi Jinping for his visionary leadership in transforming China into a major economic power. During his speech, he emphasized the impressive economic strides China has made under President Xi’s leadership, which has elevated the country to a prominent position on the global economic stage.

Welcoming the President, Mr. Nie Zhuang highlighted the centuries-old ties between Kashgar and the people of Pakistan. He remarked on the deep-rooted historical connections and mutual respect shared by the two regions. Mr. Zhuang also expressed enthusiasm for strengthening cooperation in various sectors, including trade, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, reinforcing the longstanding friendship between Kashgar and Pakistan.

The dinner was attended by several dignitaries, including Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong. The presence of these officials underscored the importance of continued collaboration and dialogue between the two nations.
